• Solid experience across front end and back end — we use React and Next.js, but we care more about how you think than which framework you have used
• Comfortable owning a project from idea to live, without a large team around you
• An eye for accessibility, and an understanding of why it matters especially here

AI / Automation Engineer

Find the work that shouldn’t be done by hand, and automate it — so the team spends its time on students rather than admin.

• Map the manual processes across the business and work out which are worth automating
• Build the automations and integrations that connect our tools to each other
• Apply AI where it does real work — drafting, summarising, triage — and measure whether it actually helped
• Keep a human in the loop on anything that touches a student
• Document what you build so it does not depend on you being available

• Experience building automations and integrations — APIs, workflow tools, scripting
• Practical judgement about where AI helps and where it just adds risk
• Able to sit with a colleague, understand their day, and spot what can be removed
