Specialist Mentor

We are recruiting Specialist Mentors to join our UK-wide network, starting October 2026. You will work one-to-one with university students who receive Disabled Students’ Allowance, helping them navigate university life in a way that works for them. Sessions are mostly delivered online, so you can work with students anywhere in the UK.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver one-to-one specialist mentoring sessions, mostly online
  • Help students build routines, manage workload and navigate university life
  • Support confidence, motivation and independence at the student’s own pace
  • Keep clear, professional session records
What we’re looking for
  • Relevant qualification or substantial experience in mentoring, mental health, education or a related field
  • Experience supporting students or adults with disabilities, mental health conditions or specific learning difficulties
  • A warm, person-centred approach — we support the person, not the label
  • Reliability, professionalism and good communication
Where you’d work

This role is delivered remotely, so you can support students anywhere in the UK from wherever you are. We also have students who benefit from meeting in person, and we’re particularly keen to hear from practitioners in or near Edinburgh, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
