Autism-Specific Specialist (Mentoring & Study Skills)

We are recruiting Autism-Specific Specialists to join our UK-wide network, starting October 2026. You will deliver our autism-specific mentoring and study skills pathways for students who receive Disabled Students’ Allowance, adapting your approach to each student’s processing, communication and sensory needs. Sessions are mostly delivered online.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver autism-specific mentoring and/or study skills sessions
  • Support routines, transitions, communication and self-advocacy
  • Adapt your approach to each student’s processing, communication and sensory needs
  • Keep clear, professional session records
What we’re looking for
  • Qualification or significant demonstrable experience in autism support
  • Experience working with autistic students in education
  • A strengths-based, non-deficit approach to neurodivergence
  • Reliability, professionalism and good communication
Where you’d work

This role is delivered remotely, so you can support students anywhere in the UK from wherever you are. We also have students who benefit from meeting in person, and we’re particularly keen to hear from practitioners in or near Edinburgh, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
